Springfield Playgroup has been running at Upminster Baptist Church since 1968. As a church based playgroup we see our ethos as a Christian service to the local community. 
The Playgroup is managed by a Church Management Committee who meet once a term with the Playgroup Manager to discuss all aspects of the playgroup, including finance and future plans.
The Playgroup is covered by the Children Act 2004 and the Childcare Act 2006 and follows the EYFS. We are regularly inspected by Ofsted. At our last inspection in May 2019 we were awarded 'OUTSTANDING'.
A maximum of 26 children attend at any one time, each child attends for between 2 and 5 sessions per week.
